215th Infantry, Regimental Color. Composed of men from Northampton, Philadelphia, Lancaster, Bucks, Montgomery, Carbon, and Lancaster counties, the 215th was raised under the auspices of the Union League of Philadelphia and was organized on April 21, 1865. The 215th was the last regiment to be recruited in the Commonwealth. The regiment was never issued a state color. Sergeant John H. Engle of Company B was appointed color-bearer on May 19, 1865. The 215th was mustered out of service on July 31, 1865.
